Welcome to Camp Shaw!

Sending your child to an overnight summer camp is the perfect way to teach him/her life skills that are not taught in a traditional school environment - skills such as independence, teamwork, leadership, the ability to take initiative, as well as respect for the environment.

Camp Shaw accomplishes teaching these skills using Experiential Education, a "Learning-By-Doing" philosophy. The camp program is designed to encourage personal decision-making by each camper, and also to provide a safe place for social interaction among many new people.

Sometimes families need a little help to get their campers to Camp Shaw. To this end, an on-going program for limited financial assistance has been established. Financial aid requests are accepted January 1 to May 1 each year. Complete and submit the REQUEST FORM by May 1.
